00:00:00.360 --> 00:00:04.230
So do you have goals, something that you really want to achieve?

00:00:04.230 --> 00:00:10.792
That feels kind of herbaceous and you're like I just want to find the time to make this happen.

00:00:10.792 --> 00:00:26.842

And maybe you're like us in the beginning where you kind of force it, you kind of push through and you figure that this is just a season of your life.

00:00:33.911 --> 00:00:45.734
Unfortunately, what I found is like most of the time, those seasons become permanent seasons and it's just the way it is all the time, unless you take the steps that we're going to help you with today.

00:01:15.018 --> 00:01:21.042

00:02:06.042 --> 00:02:07.024
Let's go.

00:02:11.112 --> 00:02:12.075
Welcome back, everybody.

00:02:12.075 --> 00:02:12.717
Welcome back.

00:02:12.717 --> 00:02:21.567
So welcome back to our inner circle members, to our subscribers and really to anybody who's making it here for the first time because they're like I just want to figure out this time piece.

00:02:21.567 --> 00:02:33.829
We're going to be able to give you some strategies, really a system that we teach all of our clients to help them be able to get more done in less time but really be able to prioritize what's most important to them so they can excel in all areas of life.

00:02:33.829 --> 00:02:39.310
This strategy that we're going to share with you here today is, like I said, was something that we take our clients through a lot.

00:02:39.310 --> 00:02:46.049
Now, recently I don't know what it's been recently, I don't know what it's been it's been like almost every single one of our brand new clients.

00:02:46.049 --> 00:02:53.312
This is what they struggle with the most, and what's beautiful is, when we walk them through the entire strategy that we share with them, how it literally transforms their life.

00:02:53.312 --> 00:03:11.204
I mean they start making more sales, they start connecting more with their family, they start to have really incredible moments, they start to lose weight, they start to feel amazing and they really start to have this contagious energy that they put out that actually attracts people to their business, and they do that because they take full control of their time.

00:03:11.686 --> 00:03:15.662
Now, today, one of the things I do want to call out to is the process that we're going to share with you.

00:03:15.662 --> 00:03:17.912
There's actually three total steps to it.

00:03:17.912 --> 00:03:20.921
Now, this is something that we teach inside of all of our programs.

00:03:20.921 --> 00:03:30.371
Most of the time, it takes between three to six months to actually have enough time and investment into not only the system but to be able to adjust it and to make some modifications to it to be able to continue and grow.

00:03:30.371 --> 00:03:34.290
And those three steps are not something we can go through here on this one call.

00:03:34.290 --> 00:03:52.248
But what we're going to do is we're going to go through step number one with you, because this is a step that oftentimes, when you become aware of the things that are actually holding you back, become aware of the way that you're thinking about your time, you will come to realize that this is the step that will give you hope and give you an opportunity to actually do something different.

00:03:52.248 --> 00:03:58.909
So today we're going to go over that process with you today, and we're going to start by Teresa sharing the mindset.

00:03:59.759 --> 00:04:05.152
Like Mark said, this is the most important piece, because thoughts will always align with your actions.

00:04:05.152 --> 00:04:30.259
So everything that you've done around time, or that has come up for you around time up until this point, has been trying to teach you a lesson, because if you've been thinking about time as something that you just don't have control over it's like you can never catch up, or you're always trying to play catch up and it's just because you've been thinking about time as something that you can never catch up, or you're always trying to play catch up, and it's just because you've been thinking about time as something that, like you can never have.

00:04:30.259 --> 00:04:36.992
But if you start to think about it in a different way, then you can start taking the actions that will help you out.

00:04:36.992 --> 00:04:44.651
So there is a way to achieve everything that you want to do, but it's important to understand that it's not everything.

00:04:44.651 --> 00:04:47.125
It's the most important things.

00:04:47.125 --> 00:04:50.576
It's the most important things that you identify to do.

00:04:51.038 --> 00:04:54.451
The way we need to think about this is we need to think about time differently.

00:04:55.033 --> 00:05:04.343
We need to realize that what is happening right now, if you're really struggling with time, is because you need to think about what this is trying to teach you.

00:05:04.343 --> 00:05:22.430
Maybe it's because you have your priorities out of whack, maybe because you're just trying to extinguish fires, right, everybody else's priorities are your priorities and we haven't stopped to think about what do I want, what is my priority and what's important to me right now?

00:05:22.430 --> 00:05:28.988
And once you start to identify that and start to think about this in a different way, then you'll start to see momentum.

00:05:28.988 --> 00:05:44.290
You'll start to see that things fall into place and that you actually do have time to do things, because you start to put your energy and effort into things that really matter, that really move the needle forward for you.

00:05:45.172 --> 00:05:48.283
But you have to be open to finding a way.

00:05:48.283 --> 00:05:57.329
If you're constantly thinking about how you have a lack of time, then you're just going to find that You're just going to find that you don't have time.

00:05:57.329 --> 00:06:00.843
You're just going to be spinning your wheels over and over and over again.

00:06:00.843 --> 00:06:14.581
But if you stop to think about how can I make more time, it's really about what are my priorities and how can I assign time to those specific priorities and then let go of everything else.

00:06:15.202 --> 00:06:16.324
Yes, 100%.

00:06:16.324 --> 00:06:23.766
So I really like how you said that is like our relationship with time and the way that we think of time determines how much of it we have.

00:06:23.766 --> 00:06:32.091
So it's one of those things where we all know we have 24 hours a day and we're not here to shame or guilt anybody until, like, what are you doing with your 24, which is what we kind of see on social media.

00:06:32.091 --> 00:06:37.908
But it's more of like, how can we think of this as a little bit differently and actually make the most effective use of our time?

00:06:37.908 --> 00:06:43.750
Right, and if you're willing to be into I don't have the answers now, but I'm plugging into a resource.

00:06:43.750 --> 00:06:50.062
I mean, that's literally why you guys have us right, plugging into a resource to help find time, to help think about time a little bit differently.

00:06:50.062 --> 00:06:52.509
Right, to help achieve more without having to do more.

00:06:52.509 --> 00:06:58.480
These are ways that you can just open up the floodgates of results, because it doesn't have to be done by you.

00:06:58.480 --> 00:07:10.466
But many of the times, if I'm thinking back to where I was, is I thought that in order for me to see more success, I would have to do more things, I would have to take more action, I'd have to put myself out there more, and that wasn't the case at all.

00:07:10.466 --> 00:07:25.329
I mean, right now we have a team and because we have a team, like we get to do these, like you know, youtube videos and then go, you know, for an entire week for a summit, that I'm going to do that and unplug and have my business still move forward, because I was willing to think differently.

00:07:25.329 --> 00:07:30.091
And it doesn't matter where you are, it doesn't matter if you're just starting your business, you're a solopreneur, you got 500 employees.

00:07:30.091 --> 00:07:31.973
It doesn't matter, because I've coached all those people.

00:07:31.973 --> 00:07:35.136
It has a lot to do with the way that you think about time.

00:07:35.136 --> 00:07:40.399
So, when you think about just this process of you know what this is trying to teach me something.

00:07:40.399 --> 00:07:44.571
Where I'm at right now is just trying to teach me that next level of growth for me to lean into.

00:07:44.571 --> 00:07:51.783
Now, your brain, can you see, is open to other ideas, and that's where we tap into the second piece, which is the tactics.

00:07:51.783 --> 00:07:54.259
Okay, now we're going to go through a couple of different tactics right here.

00:07:54.279 --> 00:08:02.812
This is usually what we do when we start off with our clients, because the truth is is before you find out where you want to go, you have to find out where you are right.

00:08:02.812 --> 00:08:08.048
It doesn't make any sense if we say we're going to go east to get to New York.

00:08:08.048 --> 00:08:09.435
Well, if you're in Florida, you're not going to get there.

00:08:09.435 --> 00:08:12.004
If you're in California, you're at least heading in the right direction.

00:08:12.004 --> 00:08:15.562
But I kind of want to make sure where am I and how do I get there?

00:08:15.562 --> 00:08:24.754
Right, siri's not going to be able to tell you where to get, where to go, unless it knows where you are, and so this part of the process is step number one is finding out where you are.

00:08:25.254 --> 00:08:32.923
Now, what this involves usually we do what's called a breakdown session, where we ask a lot of these questions to help the person identify what they truly want.

00:08:32.923 --> 00:08:34.929
So the first step is what you truly want.

00:08:34.929 --> 00:08:41.091
I like to do this like this, and you can close your eyes if you want to, but I like to think about like five years out from now.

00:08:41.091 --> 00:08:45.792
So you wake up five years out from now and you have the business that you wanted.

00:08:45.792 --> 00:08:48.046
You're in that position in the career that you wanted.

00:08:48.046 --> 00:08:50.000
You have the family connection that you've wanted.

00:08:50.000 --> 00:08:55.903
You're in a place like doing the things that you want to do with the people you want to do them with when you want to do them.

00:08:55.903 --> 00:08:57.708
What would that look like?

00:08:57.708 --> 00:09:03.347
Like, think about some of the compelling images that come up for you in your brain when you picture yourself doing that.

00:09:03.347 --> 00:09:06.254
I mean are you at home or are you in Hawaii?

00:09:06.254 --> 00:09:09.620
Brain when you picture yourself doing that, I mean are you at home or are you in Hawaii?

00:09:09.620 --> 00:09:13.586
Are you with your family or are you with people at work?

00:09:13.586 --> 00:09:14.269
There's no right or wrong here.

00:09:14.269 --> 00:09:20.482
It's about your vision, because if we don't really find what you want, then what you're going to do is you're going to be working towards what everybody else wants and you're going to get there and you're going to be like this sucks.

00:09:20.482 --> 00:09:25.833
This doesn't look anything like I wanted right, and so we want to make sure that we are running towards other people's visions.

00:09:25.833 --> 00:09:28.148
We want to make sure that we can capture what our visions are.

00:09:28.519 --> 00:09:31.129
Now, the second part of this is thinking about what your core values are.

00:09:31.129 --> 00:09:32.926
Teresa talked about this a few minutes ago.

00:09:32.926 --> 00:09:37.511
Some people like when they think about like priorities and think about core values, they're very, very similar.

00:09:37.511 --> 00:09:40.283
Core values is kind of like the things that drive you.

00:09:40.283 --> 00:09:44.927
So for me, it's family, it's health, it's integrity and it's impact.

00:09:44.927 --> 00:09:49.673
So everything that I do has to have one, if not all of those things moving towards it.

00:09:49.673 --> 00:09:52.035
Otherwise, I feel like I'm out of alignment with my core values.

00:09:52.035 --> 00:10:02.246
So if I start like, for some reason, getting in front of a big crowd and all of a sudden I'm starting to pretend like I'm not myself, I feel really weird and awkward because I'm not being me and integrity is a big deal for me, right?

00:10:02.246 --> 00:10:11.568
If I say yes to everything and then I say no to a lot of the things that I can do with my family, once again I'm out of alignment with my core values and I will feel like, at the end of the day, I didn't get a lot done.

00:10:11.568 --> 00:10:17.505
And so it's being able to identify what your core values are and seeing that they're in alignment with your five-year vision.

00:10:25.759 --> 00:10:32.645
When you think about your five-year vision and think about your core values is like what are your current roles and responsibilities right now?

00:10:32.645 --> 00:10:38.148
Sometimes it's as a parent, sometimes it's a leader in your career, sometimes it's a business owner, ceo, right?

00:10:38.148 --> 00:10:48.870
And we got to think about, like, based off of this, this is kind of like where our time needs to be, like spent so based off of our core values, what we want to create in five years and some of our roles and responsibilities right now.

00:10:48.870 --> 00:10:54.047
Now the second part of this tactic is to ask yourself where am I right now?

00:10:54.047 --> 00:10:56.513
And that is what we talk about doing a time audit.

00:10:56.513 --> 00:11:01.596
So you look at your time and you look at what am I doing, how often am I doing it?

00:11:01.596 --> 00:11:05.067
And literally what we typically do is we have somebody write out a week.

00:11:05.067 --> 00:11:14.812
Either you could write it out as you go that's the best way to do it or a lot of our clients will just think about, like last week, and they'll sit down and they'll go from this time to this time, like you don't have to get into the weeds like every minute.

00:11:15.053 --> 00:11:28.494
But I would highly suggest that if you remember something you were doing, that you write it down and then we look at that and we say, okay, dependent on your specific five-year vision, where you want to go and what your priorities are, how are you spending your time in congruence with that?

00:11:28.494 --> 00:11:30.096
Are you heading in that direction?

00:11:30.096 --> 00:11:36.972
Could you go in that direction faster, or do you find you're doing some of the things that aren't leading you in that direction?

00:11:36.972 --> 00:11:37.596
Let me give you an idea for me.

00:11:37.596 --> 00:11:38.360
So when I did this for myself.

00:11:38.460 --> 00:11:53.147
This was like seven or eight years ago when I first learned about this strategy, and when I did that, you know what was on my schedule Playing poker, fantasy football, watching football all day, sunday, all day, like Monday, monday night, football, softball practice and softball games.

00:11:53.147 --> 00:12:12.370
And I'm looking here at my roles of being a dad, a father, a husband, a police officer and a business owner, right, and I'm like I'm literally spending like 10, 12, more than 12 hours per week focused on those things, which is out of alignment from what I truly want to create.

00:12:12.370 --> 00:12:29.714
Now I know that there's a synergy for me of like I do still spend time like playing video games or doing something, going on a walk, doing things that help me recharge, but doing all of those things and then asking myself like, oh, how am I going to show up for all of these was just watering me down in all of the other areas that were really important to me.

00:12:29.714 --> 00:12:37.791
So I made the decision not somebody telling me, not a coach telling me me I said I'm going to do something different because I want something different.

00:12:37.791 --> 00:12:46.754
Like, yeah, at the time I was hanging out with a lot of police officers and they were doing the same things as me, but I was like I want something different than they have, and so I have to be willing to do something different.

00:12:46.754 --> 00:12:53.028
And so I found somebody who was doing something different not only doing something different, but was thinking something different when it comes to their time.

00:12:53.028 --> 00:12:58.741
And when I got around them, it just became contagious and most people are like man, do you miss it?

00:12:58.741 --> 00:13:02.424
Not for a second, like I mean, the Super Bowl came up last year.

00:13:02.424 --> 00:13:08.729
I'm like I don't even know who's in it, right, and I could care less because I'm more focused on what matters to me.

00:13:09.190 --> 00:13:09.950
Now hear me out here.

00:13:09.950 --> 00:13:13.232
If football is your thing, then go all in.

00:13:13.232 --> 00:13:14.352
That's your thing.

00:13:14.352 --> 00:13:19.456
If that's a priority of yours, if that's important, I'm not going to be the one who's going to tell you what direction to go.

00:13:19.456 --> 00:13:25.307
This exercise is about you and your goals, because we have clients and we'll actually go through this.

00:13:25.307 --> 00:13:27.110
And the clients are like no, this thing's really important to me.

00:13:27.110 --> 00:13:32.090
I'm like cool, our job as a coach is not to tell you, it's to help you discover it for yourself.

00:13:32.510 --> 00:13:36.671
And remember, you can always make a new decision too, because if you decide to go down a path and you're like.

00:13:36.671 --> 00:13:38.282
I don't want to continue going down this path.

00:13:38.282 --> 00:13:43.188
You can, at any point, go down a different path If you choose, and, being your coach, I'm going to be there to support you no matter what.

00:13:43.188 --> 00:13:47.875
So it's not about using shame or guilt or saying that maybe you should remove the same things that I did.

00:13:47.875 --> 00:14:07.293
No, we're all individuals and you get to make that choice and decision yourself, but I promise you that, whatever decision you make that might seem hard in the moment three, four, five, six years, you know being able to retire now from my police career, but not having to do that and being able to play poker whenever I want to, even though I still don't that was really worth it for me and I honestly don't think I would ever go back to doing stuff like that again.

00:14:07.835 --> 00:14:08.796
But this is my story.

00:14:08.796 --> 00:14:11.043
So what is your story?

00:14:11.043 --> 00:14:17.203
So, thinking about these, being able to identify your mindset and how can you really laser focus on?

00:14:17.203 --> 00:14:18.628
There's an opportunity here.

00:14:18.628 --> 00:14:20.211
I just have to be willing to find it.

00:14:20.211 --> 00:14:27.888
And then, number two identifying what you truly want, what you feel are your core values and your near and dear priorities to you.

00:14:28.421 --> 00:14:33.663
And then doing an audit and asking myself where am I in alignment with what I want and where am I out of alignment?

00:14:33.663 --> 00:14:49.008
Not because I'm going to beat myself up, but because I need to know where I am on the GPS, because, I promise you, we have to help hundreds of people on a one-on-one basis go through this process and they're like oh my God, I cannot believe what I feel like when I'm able to make this adjustment right.

00:14:49.008 --> 00:14:50.871
It's the same thing for you.

00:14:50.871 --> 00:14:54.068
You're going to have an aha moment when you get an opportunity to see this.

00:14:54.068 --> 00:14:56.635
As long as you don't beat yourself up.

00:14:56.635 --> 00:14:59.565
You wouldn't beat yourself up that you're in California today.

00:14:59.565 --> 00:15:01.990
If you're trying to get to New York, you'd be like I'm in California.

00:15:01.990 --> 00:15:03.851
I guess I should start traveling Northeast.

00:15:03.851 --> 00:15:06.428
So we have to take our approach when it comes to our time.

00:15:06.428 --> 00:15:08.590
The same way, we're not here to beat each other up.

00:15:08.590 --> 00:15:12.393
What we're here to do is figure out where we are so we can figure out how to get to where we want to be.

00:15:19.284 --> 00:15:21.934
Yeah, key is understanding that beating yourself up isn't going to help and then just understanding that, okay, this is where I am.

00:15:21.934 --> 00:15:27.010
I want to be somewhere different and we kind of like leave things in the past and just start moving forward.

00:15:27.010 --> 00:15:36.365
That time audit is a really good way to have a bird's eye view of what is going on, because when we're in the thick of it, we can't see things differently.

00:15:36.365 --> 00:15:40.456
It's such a great way to identify opportunities.

00:15:40.456 --> 00:15:42.187
It's not a problem.

00:15:42.187 --> 00:15:49.971
They're opportunities for you to be able to change your habits and just your thinking, so that you can start to move forward.

00:15:50.432 --> 00:15:50.633
Yes.

00:15:50.633 --> 00:15:53.868
So how do you get yourself to take these kinds of actions?

00:15:53.868 --> 00:15:58.447
So right now, you might be listening to this going I am on fire, I'm ready to go go.

00:15:58.447 --> 00:16:02.732
I cannot wait to do this until tomorrow or the next day or a day after.

00:16:02.732 --> 00:16:08.836
That kind of like wakes up, yeah, and you're like this is dumb, mark and theresa don't know what they're talking about.

00:16:10.240 --> 00:16:16.927
The truth is, is the environment that created the excitement for you, is the environment to stay in to make sure that the excitement continues.

00:16:16.927 --> 00:16:18.011
So here's the thing.

00:16:18.011 --> 00:16:37.188
This is the reason why we put together our inner circle, because when you're in an environment where you can lean into, where you can have weekly calls, where you can actually dive into me and Teresa, being able to coach you through things, or, if we're not your fit, find somebody who can keep that motivation high, keep you taking action and keep you being able to see things differently, like we do here on this channel.

00:16:37.188 --> 00:16:39.816
It's really powerful when you have that kind of environment.

00:16:39.816 --> 00:16:50.774
So if you got here and you're like I feel like I'm on fire, well then maybe sticking around is a good idea so that you can continue to have this level of fire, because this is what we bring every single week.

00:16:50.774 --> 00:16:57.053
Once a month, we also dive onto a live Q&A coaching session so we can help coach some of the people in our community.

00:16:57.053 --> 00:17:04.673
It's a group coaching-based program where we can help you come up to your answers.

00:17:04.692 --> 00:17:07.163
One of the things we talked about here today is there's not a blanket rule of everybody should do this or not do this.

00:17:07.163 --> 00:17:17.252
I know everybody likes to follow trackers and I think trackers are awesome if it's designed for you and what you need to achieve and based off of your strengths, and there's a lot of individual pieces and components to this.

00:17:17.252 --> 00:17:24.768
This is why we're leaning into the inner circle by being able to like give you that level of coaching and mentoring while you're on the call.

00:17:24.768 --> 00:17:34.247
That's something brand new that we just created two weeks ago and we're going to be in November, going to be bumping the price up, so right now it's actually more than 50% off in order to join that.

00:17:34.247 --> 00:17:38.375
But here's the thing whether you join us or not, that's not the point of what I'm saying here.

00:17:38.375 --> 00:17:47.666
The point is is I want you to find an environment that brings you to life, that gets you to see things differently, that gets you to find your answers, not just telling you what one person's answers are.

00:17:47.666 --> 00:17:50.093
But being able to tap into that is a game changer.

00:17:50.413 --> 00:17:52.906
Whether that's us, you're a family-driven business owner.

00:17:52.906 --> 00:17:56.752
You want to connect better with your family and you want to get into the best shape of your life.

00:17:56.752 --> 00:17:57.835
That's what we do here.

00:17:57.835 --> 00:18:10.916
But if it's outside of that, or you don't like our energy or you don't really feel like you're connecting with this message, please find someone, something, a group out there, because it's really powerful for you to do this with a team versus doing it on your own.

00:18:10.916 --> 00:18:15.390
I hate to say it, but most of the time, we will do things more for other people than we will do for ourselves.

00:18:15.390 --> 00:18:16.751
So tap into that.

00:18:16.751 --> 00:18:24.040
Tap into that as a strength for you, not as a weakness, and be able to lean in and get uncomfortable and have the conversations you need.

00:18:24.040 --> 00:18:27.089
Thank you for what you do out there every single day and keep leading from the front team.

00:18:27.089 --> 00:18:28.011
Bye everybody.
