00:00:00.240 --> 00:00:09.609
So what would it feel like if people sought you out when they needed help, like there wasn't a million people in the world or coaches to like go towards.
00:00:09.609 --> 00:00:29.682
There was just you, and people were like I know that this person can help me, they can help me get to the root of what's actually holding me back, but actually help unlock something that will allow me to raise into my full potential, whether you're trying to grow a business, whether you're trying to get healthy, whether you're trying to get your relationships on point, whatever that process is, what if you were that go-to person?
00:00:29.682 --> 00:00:43.950
That is why we put today's training together for you, because we want to share with you what we have found to help you not only feel like you've mastered the skill of coaching, but you become the go-to person that people look to when they want help.
00:00:43.950 --> 00:00:50.289
I know we talked about this before, but it's kind of like the difference between a general practitioner and a specialist.
00:00:50.289 --> 00:01:00.652
When it comes to going to the doctor, when you get like an actual issue that you're trying to get some help with and they don't seem to know what the problem is, who do you go to?
00:01:00.652 --> 00:01:05.820
You go to your specialist and I don't know about you, but I don't ask how much it's going to cost.
00:01:05.820 --> 00:01:08.388
I don't ask, like, what days are they available?
00:01:08.388 --> 00:01:12.364
I'm like get me in, I will do whatever it takes to get in there.
00:01:12.625 --> 00:01:25.049
What would that be like if that was your business, if people came to you and they came with that level of belief not only in you but in themselves, being capable of taking action and getting the results that you're promising them.
00:01:25.049 --> 00:01:27.986
That's what we want to help you give today.
00:01:27.986 --> 00:01:31.352
So if you're ready to do that with us, well, let's go.
00:01:31.352 --> 00:01:34.486

00:02:09.909 --> 00:02:10.872
Let's go.
00:02:15.140 --> 00:02:22.032
So, for those of you guys who don't know who we are, my name is Mark and this is my beautiful wife, teresa, and we have been coaches for a little bit over 12 years.
00:02:22.032 --> 00:02:34.390
We've helped a number of clients, from health and fitness in the beginning just because I ended up losing 100 pounds to business owners, to executives, now to leaders in LAPD, to relationships.
00:02:34.390 --> 00:02:47.246
People wanted to feel more connected to their family and to their kids, and for the last three years, we've been coaching other coaches, helping them develop the skills and the confidence they need to go out and create the impact and income that they truly want.
00:02:47.246 --> 00:03:10.580
We ended up graduating about over 200, I think, 233 life and performance coaches and helping develop 13 master coaches, and what we found is the three things that we're going to talk about today are present not only when those coaches develop themselves and learn and really put out what they can to the world and make that impact and attract people, but also they constantly do this on a consistent basis.
00:03:10.942 --> 00:03:15.241
Now here's the thing we don't want to make it sound like this is all easy, because it's not.
00:03:15.241 --> 00:03:24.026
These three things are simple, but they can also be pretty hard, especially when you start to see a little bit of results or you start to feel a little bit of confidence.
00:03:24.026 --> 00:03:31.230
It's very easy to pull out of these three things and, on accident, sabotage your results.
00:03:31.230 --> 00:03:40.049
Now, before we get into these three things, I really want to hit on like why becoming this go-to person is so hard, especially right now when there's coaches everywhere.
00:03:40.049 --> 00:03:43.129
They're popping up all over, especially around January 1st.
00:03:43.129 --> 00:03:56.650
For some reason, everybody starts their coaching business and they're ready to jump in and ready to help people and so people need to like have that go-to expert so that it's not so confusing with all the people out there, because if it is so confusing, nobody will take any action.
00:03:56.650 --> 00:04:01.701
Why is it so hard to become that go-to person, to develop your skills to that level where people recognize you?
00:04:02.162 --> 00:04:25.463
Yeah, because at the beginning we get super excited, right, we get into learning the new skills and there's this different level that we're in when we're right in the thick of it, when we're starting to, you know, find ourselves in a new space and we start to learn those new skills and then all of a sudden we feel like we're good, we got to our destination.
00:04:25.463 --> 00:04:40.384
We either got certified or we just decided we were going to be a coach or call ourselves a coach, and then we stopped learning, we stopped the things and the habits that was keeping us excited and keeping us to level up.
00:04:40.384 --> 00:04:46.293
So when we do that, we start to go back in our progress.
00:04:46.333 --> 00:04:50.485
Self-doubt starts to creep back in because you're not actually learning.
00:04:50.485 --> 00:04:56.891
You're trying to go and find clients and I mean, obviously, that's a really important piece to all of this.
00:04:56.891 --> 00:05:00.221
You have to find clients right, because otherwise you don't have a business.
00:05:00.221 --> 00:05:26.701
However, that becomes a focus and then you don't put yourself in that place where you're motivated and you're trying to learn new skills and, like what Mark said earlier, you start to become like the general practitioner, because now it's like you're not really standing out, because you're just kind of like at this flat level of like, at this flat level.
00:05:26.701 --> 00:05:40.889
When you start to get into a specialization, when you start to get into more of a narrow focus for yourself and you're able to bring to clients a specific thing or a specific category of help, then you start to stand out.
00:05:40.889 --> 00:05:52.000
But because that isn't the focus you start to, you know, just focus on just finding clients and you're like I'm just going to try to help anybody, you're not going to stand out that way.
00:05:52.322 --> 00:05:52.543
Yeah.
00:05:52.543 --> 00:05:58.783
So this is where people get trapped in the or versus and situation, where they think one needs to happen or the other.
00:05:58.783 --> 00:06:10.430
We also hear this a lot I'll be able to invest in this person or this coach or my next skills once I have X, y and Z Meaning I needed to make money before I could invest more into my business.
00:06:10.430 --> 00:06:14.307
And that is a way of getting stuck, like what they say what got you here won't get you there.
00:06:14.749 --> 00:06:27.773
And if you start to think about, well, I've learned all these skills, I'm just going to stop learning and then start to go out there and to find more clients, you're not going to be able to separate yourself as much as someone who's continuing to learn while they are finding new clients.
00:06:27.773 --> 00:06:32.228
And that's why it's like really important guys to think about why this is so hard.
00:06:32.228 --> 00:06:39.901
Because, like in your brain, you may be able to convince yourself like you know what, okay, I've learned these skills, I've started to become a coach, I know this thing.
00:06:39.901 --> 00:06:45.925
Let me just stop, put a pause on that right now and then go out and start making money and having conversations.
00:06:45.925 --> 00:06:50.608
But the problem is is that you haven't gotten to the level of becoming a master at it.
00:06:50.608 --> 00:06:52.209
Yet You've just begun.
00:06:52.209 --> 00:06:55.173
And when you just begin, yes, there takes some practice.
00:06:55.752 --> 00:07:18.103
But that moves us into the second reason why it's so hard to struggle finding clients, and if that's the problem and then you're not practicing and you're not putting your skills into motion, then you're going to lose that, because practicing on other people and being able to identify some of the struggles that they're having, that's when you start to get in trouble.
00:07:18.103 --> 00:07:25.108
Right, because you're not actually learning, you're just doing things that don't really move the needle forward.
00:07:25.500 --> 00:07:31.273
Yeah, so when you pull yourself out of whatever teaching and training, you're no longer learning.
00:07:31.273 --> 00:07:33.406
It kind of like makes you take a step back.
00:07:33.406 --> 00:07:50.002
But the second part is like, as you start to go out there and you don't have that excitement of learning new things, of helping people, you start finding it harder to find clients and then, before you know it, you have some clients and it dwindles down and you're not doing anything to grow, to get excited, to put out that energy out there to really attract more of those people.
00:07:50.002 --> 00:08:05.892
One of the things that we're going to talk about a little bit later is you're having to do with your energy when you realize that you are in an environment that created a ton of energy and because of that you are finding clients, you are coaching people, you are getting uncomfortable, you're doing all the things you needed to do to keep growing, to keep finding people and to keep working at it.
00:08:05.892 --> 00:08:07.555
That's an important part of the puzzle.
00:08:07.555 --> 00:08:15.370
But when you don't have that and your clients start to dwindle, you're not able to get as much practice in.
00:08:15.370 --> 00:08:20.406
Those skills will disappear as quickly as they came Because you're not practicing on a consistent basis, and this is why it's so hard.
00:08:20.406 --> 00:08:27.182
The thing that got you excited in this environment, got you able to coach you, disconnect from it.
00:08:27.182 --> 00:08:35.581
Whether it's like you graduate or maybe you didn't even have a certification, but you used to be in this environment where people would come to you and ask you questions and you'd be able to help them.
00:08:35.581 --> 00:08:38.052
And then you disconnect from that environment.
00:08:38.052 --> 00:08:47.354
It's very easy to get back into our old habits, old behaviors, and to just pretend like we don't have this skill, Because it's uncomfortable to get back to start again.
00:08:47.354 --> 00:08:54.149
It's uncomfortable to ask another client or another person to get on a free call with you or to get some sales and things rolling in right.
00:08:54.149 --> 00:08:57.029
And it's because all of these things is our brain working against us.
00:08:57.029 --> 00:09:08.553
All of these things are trying to teach you a lesson, Every single one of them, Because if we want something different, we have to do something different, and sometimes that different was something that we used to do and that is just hey.
00:09:08.553 --> 00:09:15.268
How do I make sure that I stay plugged in and stay reconnected to that?
00:09:15.268 --> 00:09:20.984
And that's really what we want to talk to you guys here today is like really thinking about whether you have had an environment, you haven't had an environment, you're not learning or you are still learning.
00:09:20.984 --> 00:09:25.428
There's another level that's inside of you and we want to help pull that out today.
00:09:26.029 --> 00:09:38.443
I remember when I was younger and I was kind of like a jack of all trades, my parents had me in every single sport known to man.
00:09:38.443 --> 00:09:38.985
I started out in baseball.
00:09:38.985 --> 00:09:39.528
I actually got pretty good.
00:09:39.528 --> 00:09:40.773
T-ball was a pitcher did really, really well.
00:09:40.773 --> 00:09:46.288
But then for some reason, I started to lose my interest in it and so I decided I was going to try basketball.
00:09:46.288 --> 00:09:48.653
After basketball I started to get really good.
00:09:48.653 --> 00:09:52.273
I actually tried out for our team and I was on the verge of making it.
00:09:52.273 --> 00:09:54.942
But then I decided that tennis was going to be my thing.
00:09:54.942 --> 00:10:00.541
And then after that was bowling, and then after bowling was softball when I was getting older.
00:10:00.780 --> 00:10:03.044
But it was this thing where I didn't realize it.
00:10:03.044 --> 00:10:08.013
But I would just start to get warmed up, I would just start to pick up some momentum.
00:10:08.013 --> 00:10:13.908
But the problem was that I would get the shiny object syndrome and I would jump to a million other things.
00:10:13.908 --> 00:10:26.494
I see people doing that, with companies jumping from a million different companies, jumping from a million different products, a million different ways of doing things, only to realize that it's just because they didn't put in the energy and effort they needed to to actually make it big.
00:10:26.494 --> 00:10:27.696
And I didn't either.
00:10:27.696 --> 00:10:43.605
I mean you guys don't see me on a baseball card or a basketball card, right, and I'm not even sure if that's really what I wanted, but when I think about it, it's like I didn't actually lean in and do whatever I needed to do practice, develop my skills the three things that we're going to be talking deeply about today.
00:10:43.927 --> 00:10:59.951
If I had done that, I could have made it so much further, and this is one of the reasons why, when I got into coaching, I vowed never to allow that to happen again, that I was never going to be a jack of all trades and get a shiny object syndrome and go from this to this to this to this.
00:11:00.080 --> 00:11:15.931
I said I was going to be in the best in the world at this one specific thing, and there's a million and one ways to do it, but I'm going to learn as much as I possibly can, put myself into the right room and develop the confidence and skills that I need to be that go-to person.
00:11:16.581 --> 00:11:27.346
And we've been able to do that, and I want to share with you these three things that helped me go what I think of as like semi-pro to pro, Because this is what most people don't tell you about this.
00:11:27.346 --> 00:11:31.695
They usually will tell you anybody can be a coach and I really do believe that.
00:11:31.695 --> 00:11:50.669
But it's the difference between taking what it is to be like a regular player as a coach and taking it into being more of like a specialist, where you're actually outperforming everybody but you're doing it from a place of you're willing to go all in and go really deep into this one skill and become that person that everybody knows.
00:11:50.669 --> 00:11:59.711
If we change if I change from basketball to baseball to bowling, by the way, bowling, I was rocking it in bowling Like I had.
00:11:59.711 --> 00:12:00.519
It was awesome.
00:12:00.600 --> 00:12:02.366
Well, that's why we don't like playing with you.
00:12:03.081 --> 00:12:05.048
Well, because I'm competitive in all these things.
00:12:05.048 --> 00:12:06.639
It's just I'm not really good at anything.
00:12:06.639 --> 00:12:14.090
I'm like decent and all of it, but like I always wonder, like how much would I have like been able to excel if I had like-.
00:12:14.129 --> 00:12:14.731
Soccer too.
00:12:15.019 --> 00:12:15.422
I got.
00:12:15.422 --> 00:12:17.369
Yes, soccer was a big deal for me too.
00:12:17.369 --> 00:12:21.625
I'm telling you, there's like seven or eight different sports change every single.
00:12:21.625 --> 00:12:26.331
I would get to that cap where I started to get a little uncomfortable, and then I would go play something else.
00:12:26.331 --> 00:12:32.542
And I would get to that cap where I started to feel a little bit uncomfortable and I would go play something else and it was like I was mediocre at all of it.
00:12:32.542 --> 00:12:41.288
And I refuse to do that when it comes to coaching, and I refuse to allow you to do that if this is that thing that you want to become the best in the world and be known for.
00:12:41.708 --> 00:12:42.269
Now here's the thing.
00:12:42.269 --> 00:12:51.653
We're going to go over all three of these things, all right, and I'm going to talk to you about a little bit later, a place where we're actually doing all of these three things for 20 people.
00:12:51.653 --> 00:12:52.940
We're going to be a part of what's called our Coach Accelerator.
00:12:52.940 --> 00:13:06.312
But, regardless if you do this or not with us, these three things are critical when it comes to becoming that type of person that can totally rock your coaching business and have people come out of the woodworks and find you when they need help.
00:13:06.312 --> 00:13:16.495
Now this starts off with number one, because it always starts out with number one right, and that is you constantly elevate your level of skill.
00:13:16.495 --> 00:13:25.628
So when you are trying to get better at basketball, trying to get better at baseball, trying to get better at coaching, you have to ask yourself how do I continue to get better at my skill?
00:13:25.628 --> 00:13:29.534
There's always I believe there's always another level that's inside of us.
00:13:29.534 --> 00:13:43.884
There's another level to grow, to get better, to learn new skills, to make adjustments and, along the way, you have so many different skills that you have in your toolbox that you just know that you're going to be able to help whoever it is that comes your way.
00:13:43.884 --> 00:13:48.236
Now, how we do this is we don't just play with random players.
00:13:48.236 --> 00:13:56.496
We actually make sure we put ourselves in a room with other players that have better and higher skills even than us, and have different skills than us as well.
00:13:56.966 --> 00:14:01.317
One of the things that I've realized is as I constantly try to get better at coaching.
00:14:01.317 --> 00:14:05.375
I don't just hang around with one type of modality of coaching.
00:14:05.375 --> 00:14:24.046
I have been surrounding myself by at least six different types and styles of coaches, because I can learn and grow through every single one of those, because if I'm just following coaches who look and talk and act like me, I'm losing something and my clients are losing even more.
00:14:24.046 --> 00:14:37.282
If I only have one or two tools and I can learn 20 different tools that I can actually use and implement and actually have it be my strength zone, then now I feel like I'm actually doing my clients a service.
00:14:37.282 --> 00:14:48.681
So, when you think about the skills for you to develop, yes, I want you to think about like and this does not mean certifications, by the way these are just like different ways that you can help clients get better results.
00:14:48.681 --> 00:14:52.931
Just like different ways that you can help clients get better results.
00:14:52.951 --> 00:15:17.674
Actually, I'm separated from my mentor recently, where I was actually the person putting together the master coach training program and the life coach certification, and I was going through all of that process and what I realized is, while I was going through it, there were so many other things that I had that I had learned that I had been taught, that I'm still constantly learning right now, that I had learned that I had been taught that I'm still constantly learning right now that I wanted to teach, and it's one of those things where most people think that it's just one modality, but in reality, I'm constantly learning and growing.
00:15:17.674 --> 00:15:20.717
Some of the people have even reached out and go Mark, how do you constantly grow?
00:15:20.717 --> 00:15:23.607
And it's because I'm never settling.
00:15:23.607 --> 00:15:33.234
There's always things out there for me to do, for me to think, for me to learn so that I can actually bring it to you guys, to YouTube, to our Coach Accelerator, to my one-on-one clients.
00:15:33.234 --> 00:15:39.616
And if I ever stop learning, if I ever stop focusing on getting better, it goes the opposite direction.
00:15:39.736 --> 00:15:40.888
It does not stay the same.
00:15:40.888 --> 00:15:48.350
John Maxwell says you're either climbing up the hill or you're rolling down, and so when I think about this, I'm like how can I constantly grow my skill?
00:15:48.350 --> 00:15:49.974
So that is step.
00:15:49.974 --> 00:15:56.453
Number one is make sure that you are constantly growing your skill, meaning not just practicing the same skill over and over again.
00:15:56.453 --> 00:16:00.333
That's good, but if you want to get into the NBA, you also have to practice other skills.
00:16:00.333 --> 00:16:15.190
That's going to help you get even higher level right, and you do that by playing with other players who know how to use different skills, different tactics, the crossover, the Allen Iverson, like.
00:16:15.190 --> 00:16:18.261
You want to practice with those people so that you can start to develop and use that in your business and coaching practice too.
00:16:18.261 --> 00:16:21.791
So make sure that you're in an environment that you keep learning skills.
00:16:22.413 --> 00:16:24.658
I think this is also about having an open mind.
00:16:25.144 --> 00:16:25.907
Oh yeah, big time.
00:16:25.927 --> 00:16:37.515
Because you're not just focused on what you've learned and, like you said, the modality that you, that you learned you're you're open to other forms of coaching.
00:16:37.515 --> 00:17:17.191
I have been part of a community of coaches all different types of coaches and have been, are certified, some are not certified, some are just starting, and it's such a great opportunity for me to be able to see what is out there, how people get coached, and it's it's really amazing to see, like all these different types of coaches like the most, some of them like the most specific areas and I'm like I would have never thought that there would be a coach for that, but it's just amazing and it just it gives you like a sense of you know what, like I can't stand out because I can, I can go this route, but look at all of these, there's so many possibilities.
00:17:17.191 --> 00:17:24.336
That's, I mean, that's what really like gets me really excited is that there is so much opportunity just within the coaching community.
00:17:24.684 --> 00:17:29.828
Yeah, yeah, I think one of the reasons why I know in the beginning I was a little nervous about doing that too.
00:17:29.828 --> 00:17:44.220
So I got certified from Brooke Castillo at the Life Coach School and when I started to go and like learn about new modalities and new ways of coaching and new skills and things like that, I was kind of nervous thinking that what if I found something that went against what it is that I was learning right?
00:17:44.220 --> 00:17:50.884
Never has happened in any of the time, because the way that I can describe it and the way that I can think about it makes sense.
00:17:50.884 --> 00:17:55.334
It's just I would have never found it out by just using what Brooke termed the model right.
00:17:55.334 --> 00:18:09.272
It taught me so much, it gave me a powerful framework, but it was the ground floor that I now get to step up of and actually create a new ceiling, because I understand that and I understand three, four, five, six different modalities that now I start to really dive in.
00:18:09.272 --> 00:18:19.848
And it's not like you have to master all of these, it's just you take what you learn and you implement it into the things that you do better than anybody in the world and you will be world class.
00:18:19.848 --> 00:18:28.037
Think about all the coaches who know exactly what you know right now and then think about what it would be like if you were able to add a little bit to that.
00:18:28.037 --> 00:18:34.030
You were making a couple different tweaks and lean into a new skill that made that original thing that you were doing even better.
00:18:34.030 --> 00:18:35.651
That's how we set ourselves apart.
00:18:35.651 --> 00:18:44.411
So step one is I love that, by the way leaning into new skills, but also being okay with being uncomfortable, learning different modalities.
00:18:44.411 --> 00:18:50.458
The truth is is you don't have to agree with everything and you don't have to even implement it all, but you are closing your eyes like this.
00:18:50.458 --> 00:18:55.813
You're putting the blinders on if you're not putting yourself out there in an environment where there's coaches from other places.
00:18:55.813 --> 00:18:59.154
There's coaches with different strengths, different weaknesses, right.
00:18:59.154 --> 00:19:03.537
So make sure that you find something that you can continue to grow in to that level.
00:19:04.085 --> 00:19:09.457
Number two is you constantly work on elevating your level of confidence.
00:19:09.457 --> 00:19:12.056
Here's the thing Like when you get onto a session.
00:19:12.056 --> 00:19:22.892
Even before you get onto a session, when you're talking to a potential client about joining your program, if you lack confidence and you're like I'm not really sure if I can help this person, I don't know what it is that they're going to bring me.
00:19:22.892 --> 00:19:25.973
I don't know if I'm going to be able to give them an aha moment.
00:19:25.973 --> 00:19:26.395
Right?
00:19:26.395 --> 00:19:31.199
You're actually going to enter the session in a low confidence state.
00:19:31.199 --> 00:19:43.826
I got to tell you, if you ever sat across from somebody who has a low confidence state, it's just different when you're having a conversation with them, because it's like, well, I don't even know if you believe in this yourself either, because if you don't believe in it, how am I going to believe in it?
00:19:43.826 --> 00:19:52.259
Right, because what we're doing is when we're having conversation with somebody and selling them on their dreams, is we have to believe it before they ever can.
00:19:52.259 --> 00:19:53.641
That's really what coaching is.
00:19:53.641 --> 00:19:59.310
It's me being able to believe that you've got that potential inside of you and I'm going to be able to pull it out of you.
00:19:59.633 --> 00:20:08.855
And if you struggle with that, you're going to struggle with making sales, with finding clients, with putting yourself out there and even with getting on practice sessions, because you're going to be second guessing yourself.
00:20:08.855 --> 00:20:20.796
Now here's the truth is that even if you struggle with self-confidence, even if you struggle with, like, putting yourself out there and getting uncomfortable, you already have all of the things you need to be able to help the other human.
00:20:20.796 --> 00:20:23.491
You just maybe need to develop a little bit more skill.
00:20:23.491 --> 00:20:25.705
You need to be willing to get a little bit uncomfortable.
00:20:25.705 --> 00:20:30.174
You need to maybe put yourself in an environment with other people who have higher levels of confidence.
00:20:30.174 --> 00:20:41.607
That will help you raise your level of confidence to the point where you can go out there, you can have conversations, you can make posts, you can know that beyond a shadow of a doubt, you're going to be able to help the other person on the other end.
00:20:41.607 --> 00:20:50.987
And then if they decide this isn't for them, then 100% please bless and release.
00:20:50.987 --> 00:21:01.633
Make sure that they do have somebody or something that they can help with, because maybe they just didn't connect with you, but it won't have anything to do about your lack of confidence or lack of skills, because you're going to know that you have all the confidence and all the skills that you need to really connect with them.
00:21:02.013 --> 00:21:10.219
And, honestly, if you have somebody, a mentor, someplace in the background to be able to help even more, even if there's something on the call you can't come up with, you're like you know what.
00:21:10.219 --> 00:21:17.573
Let me go talk to my coaching community, coaching group, my mentor, to be able to help me through this, because the beautiful thing is when you have me as a mentor.
00:21:17.573 --> 00:21:21.792
You also have my mentor as well and, by the way, my mentors are a little bit more expensive.
00:21:21.792 --> 00:21:28.396
Can I tell you the number of times I would use out a coaching call in the beginning where I'm like, oh also, you have my mentor as well.
00:21:28.396 --> 00:21:48.576
And that was just a confidence boost in me, because at the time I didn't have full confidence in what I was capable of doing, but I built it up, bringing that stuff to my mentor and being able to tap into it and also knowing that the only two things that are going to happen on a coaching session right, I was going to do it right or I was going to mess up, but I was going to learn from it so that I can take it into the next coaching session too.
00:21:48.977 --> 00:22:15.152
That's why step number two is always asking yourself how can I put myself in an environment where I continue to develop more confidence, where I can continue to elevate my skills, where I can continue to feel like I'm going to be able to help the other person on the other end, and even if I can't do that, I'm going to be able to bring this information to somebody, to my mentor, to my coach to my team, and it's critical, by the way, that you do have a coach or a team when you're doing that.
00:22:15.152 --> 00:22:20.170
If you're asking somebody else to challenge themselves to become a next version of themselves, and then you're not willing to do that, I am sorry, my friend.
00:22:20.170 --> 00:22:23.306
Your level of confidence is not going to come through the way that you need to.
00:22:23.306 --> 00:22:31.532
That's why we hire coaches all the time, constantly probably too many, but it's okay, because we're constantly looking to grow ourselves in the next level.
00:22:31.532 --> 00:22:39.615
We can't ask anybody else to lean into the hard things that it takes to be coached to take themselves to the next level if we're not willing to do that ourselves.
00:22:39.615 --> 00:22:42.354
So if you're struggling with confidence, ask yourself that too.
00:22:42.354 --> 00:22:52.079
Am I doing the things that I'm asking of my clients or the people on social media, or am I, like we were saying earlier, did I get to a certain level and do I think like, oh hey, I'm good right now.
00:22:52.079 --> 00:22:54.741
Now I can just sell this and not actually have to implement it myself?
00:22:54.741 --> 00:23:05.076
I got to tell you caused me to be stuck for such a long time, but it's time to reinvest in you, what it is you're wanting to grow in and become the best in the world at.
00:23:05.076 --> 00:23:16.395
That's why number two is make sure you put yourself not only into an environment, but you continue to elevate your confidence so you can reach that level.
00:23:16.455 --> 00:23:20.788
Now, before we get into step number three, I want to share this because I have a lot of people that I was coaching and they were master coaches in training.
00:23:20.788 --> 00:23:27.690
All right, and for some reason, a lot of people think that in order to become a master coach, you need to have the master coach title next to your name.
00:23:27.690 --> 00:23:29.192
I don't have that.
00:23:29.192 --> 00:23:35.586
Okay, I was teaching people how to become master coaches, developed 13 of them myself.
00:23:35.586 --> 00:23:38.637
I am not a master coach, my friends, I'm not.
00:23:38.637 --> 00:23:40.202
I never got certified to do that.
00:23:40.202 --> 00:23:41.066
I never, actually.
00:23:41.066 --> 00:23:42.951
What's funny is like I never got certified.
00:23:42.951 --> 00:23:45.366
I never got a certificate that says Mark is a master coach.
00:23:45.808 --> 00:23:55.568
But the thing is is I show up like one because I know the skills and the confidence that I need to help my clients get better results, and it's not because I think I'm like the best in the world because I'm not.
00:23:55.568 --> 00:24:05.349
It's because when I show up with all of my tools and I show up with the confidence that I need, I know I give that person on the other end of the table the greatest opportunity to tap into their full potential.
00:24:05.349 --> 00:24:07.153
My friends, this is not about me.
00:24:07.153 --> 00:24:12.249
This is about them, and it's about your clients too.
00:24:12.249 --> 00:24:16.445
So don't think developing all these skills or having all this confidence is just for you.
00:24:16.445 --> 00:24:17.449
It's not.
00:24:17.449 --> 00:24:31.718
It's the greatest gift you can give somebody on the other side of the table when they feel that they're going to take action on an entirely different level, and you won't know why they got so many incredible results, and it's because of what you did and how you showed up.
00:24:32.179 --> 00:24:40.888
Coaching others is your passion and you're already helping people achieve incredible results, but what if you could unlock even more in your potential and in your business?

00:24:57.936 --> 00:24:59.630
Thank you, coach, for leaning in.
00:24:59.630 --> 00:25:01.234
Let's get right back into the show.
00:25:01.785 --> 00:25:08.298
Step number three is constantly elevating your environment that you put yourself into.
00:25:08.298 --> 00:25:14.093
One of the things that I have noticed about me is when I get to a certain level, I start to feel comfortable.
00:25:14.093 --> 00:25:19.996
I start to do the same things that I've always done, start to teach the same things I've always taught and start to just.
00:25:19.996 --> 00:25:22.851
It feels like everything's just more of yesterday.
00:25:22.851 --> 00:25:29.211
And whenever I do that now, I have this thing in the back of my head that goes Mark, there's something else out there.
00:25:29.211 --> 00:25:34.380
You're in the wrong room right now, and it was the right room when I first got into it.
00:25:34.380 --> 00:25:43.182
The right room always feels like the wrong one when you step into it, because it's like how am I going to be able to take my skills into this YouTube coaching program?
00:25:43.182 --> 00:25:47.473
How am I going to be able to take this skill into like an executive coaching program?
00:25:47.473 --> 00:25:58.967
And what I realized is like, whenever I feel uncomfortable and I continue to put myself in a new environment, I step into not only the skills and the confidence, but I develop something that I would have never developed if I had never stepped into it.
00:25:59.307 --> 00:26:08.415
Now some of you guys know this like initially on, I was working on health and fitness right, and health and fitness was my jam, and anything to do outside of health and fitness was not my jam.
00:26:08.415 --> 00:26:25.185
I was not doing any of that and then I connected with this group called the Dad Edge and I realized that, just like how I let my health and fitness go and I transformed it, I wanted to transform how I showed up as a father and a husband, because I was not showing up the way that I needed to, and so I put myself into that environment and it got me to grow.
00:26:25.185 --> 00:26:35.940
They used two different coaching modalities in what they taught and I actually became a part of those coaching modalities, like they became me.
00:26:35.940 --> 00:27:00.512
I was just naturally taking those actions coaching people, having conversations and doing things to a higher level, to the point where they actually asked me to actually start teaching inside of the program, which I've been doing now for like two and a half years, and now I have this ability of not only coaching it but using those same skills with my clients and also with the coaches that I can help coach, and it was continuing to level up.
00:27:00.986 --> 00:27:08.873
This year I'm actually leaning into executive coaching, where a company reached out to me and said we really love how you lead and how you coach.
00:27:08.873 --> 00:27:10.546
Can you do that for us?
00:27:10.546 --> 00:27:17.347
We want you to be a part of our coaching leadership team and I said heck yes, because it made me feel uncomfortable.
00:27:17.347 --> 00:27:19.313
Guys, I've never worked in the corporate world.
00:27:19.313 --> 00:27:23.792
All right, I was in LAPD, I made my way up to Sergeant 2, which is kind of a corporate-ish feel.
00:27:23.792 --> 00:27:34.498
But I'm getting in front of people with tens and hundreds of millions of dollar businesses who I'm now teaching because I know and understand the skill of coaching.
00:27:34.498 --> 00:27:36.491
I don't have to meet them where they're at.
00:27:36.491 --> 00:27:38.330
They have to meet me where I'm at.
00:27:38.785 --> 00:27:51.010
And when I think about all of the energy and effort that I put into developing the skills to develop the confidence to learn all of these things, I take that and I bring it into that environment and I don't fit in.
00:27:51.010 --> 00:27:52.455
I'm just different.
00:27:52.455 --> 00:27:57.134
And when people see that, they're like I don't know what he just did, but we want more of that.
00:27:57.134 --> 00:28:00.534
You stand out and you guys have that inside of you too.
00:28:00.534 --> 00:28:03.354
You can stand out as well.
00:28:03.354 --> 00:28:14.948
You've got to just keep getting yourself into an environment that stretches you, that pushes you, that teaches you new things, that helps you elevate yourself, and just make that a normal habit in your life.
00:28:15.348 --> 00:28:22.236
One of the greatest things that I think to me as a mentor is being able to help somebody get to the level where they're ready to do something else outside of me.
00:28:22.236 --> 00:28:33.988
They're ready to do something else outside of our programs, because I feel like that's the greatest gift that I can give them To multiply and do it their own way and then have them just like release them to the world so they can go out there and they can totally crush it.
00:28:33.988 --> 00:28:37.828
We have a lot of coaches that we've actually helped do that and it is the greatest gift.
00:28:37.828 --> 00:28:39.292
It's funny because they like apologize.
00:28:39.292 --> 00:28:54.401
They're like ah, I think I'm going to like skip this and I'm going to move on to this and I'm like that is like music to my ears Because that means you've elevated yourself to a level, you've learned so much from this and now it's like what is that next step?
00:28:59.785 --> 00:29:06.090
That's why step number three is continually pushing yourself to get into a new environment where you feel uncomfortable, where it stretches you, where it gets you to show up really what you have living on the inside of you.
00:29:06.090 --> 00:29:15.872
It just prevents you from living small, it prevents you from getting back to comfort, it prevents you from just being in learning mode and listening mode and not doing.
