We want to thank you for being here, because the world needs your leadership now more than ever.
00:00:37.951 --> 00:00:38.912
Let's go.
00:00:38.912 --> 00:00:47.512
So why do you wake up so early and how do you get yourself to do that?
00:00:48.000 --> 00:00:49.746
This is a great question, and we get asked this a lot.
00:00:49.746 --> 00:00:55.408
So the philosophy that I'm really going to talk about today is how can you achieve more in less time?
00:00:55.408 --> 00:01:13.915
And if that means waking up early, going to sleep later, whatever that looks like for you, I want you to find your way, because this is what I found to help people have even more success, including both of us, because working full-time while growing a business and having kids and working on our health, it took getting really creative with ways that we can do that.
00:01:13.915 --> 00:01:18.046
Now, for me personally, what time I wake up is 3 am.
00:01:18.046 --> 00:01:24.048
Now, I know that's a little crazy, but hear me out with this it's the universal principles that are going to matter most.
00:01:24.048 --> 00:01:26.033
So let's start off with why.
00:01:26.614 --> 00:01:33.882
Now, like we always do on this channel, I want to break it down into three different pieces the mindset, the tactics and the accountability, or getting yourself to show up and do it.
00:01:33.882 --> 00:01:35.284
First off is the mindset.
00:01:35.284 --> 00:01:39.683
You see, I was searching for a way of being able to achieve more in less time.
00:01:39.683 --> 00:01:43.748
Early on, I was kind of just throwing more time at things, thinking that that was the answer.
00:01:43.748 --> 00:01:47.875
But when it comes to like when you wake up and how your habits and morning routines are.
00:01:47.875 --> 00:02:01.263
It's very specific for every single individual person, but really programming in your mind that I want to be able to achieve more in less time will help you not only decide when to wake up, but also make sure that you don't pull from your sleep when it comes to the end of the day.
00:02:01.263 --> 00:02:08.813
Now, with that mindset in mind, I want to talk about the tactics that we employ, and that is thinking about our universal prime time.
00:02:09.335 --> 00:02:17.546
So, as humans, we usually have one or two times during the day that we just seem laser focused.
00:02:17.546 --> 00:02:18.149
We get more done in less time.
00:02:18.149 --> 00:02:23.965
It's one of those things like for me personally, in the morning time I can do about two hours worth of work, and it's like eight hours of my normal work.
00:02:23.965 --> 00:02:25.207
If I were to do it later in the day.
00:02:25.207 --> 00:02:28.192
Now, at nighttime, I'm pretty much zonked out.
00:02:28.973 --> 00:02:46.502
My brain doesn't work so well and it literally takes me 30 minutes to make a simple decision about what I'm going to eat for dinner, and so what I do is I use that to my strengths and I think about when are the times that I get more done and how do I make sure that I'm awake during those times and doing the most important activities.
00:02:46.502 --> 00:02:52.286
Now this leads us into part number three, which is accountability, or how do you get yourself to take action?
00:02:52.286 --> 00:02:58.229
Number one is reminding yourself that you want to get more done in less time so you can have more time to do the things you really want to do.
00:02:58.229 --> 00:03:03.388
The second thing is you got to figure out a way of tracking to see when is your universal prime time.
00:03:03.388 --> 00:03:11.361
Is it nighttime, is it during the day, is it early in the morning?
00:03:11.361 --> 00:03:14.610
Figuring out like when you get the most stuff done will help you rearrange your wake-up schedule so you can get more done in less time.
00:03:15.092 --> 00:03:24.465
So, like Mark said, he doesn't tell you that you need to wake up when he wakes up because it's all about the universal principles, it's just about what feels good to you.
00:03:24.465 --> 00:03:26.590
When do you have the most energy?
00:03:26.590 --> 00:03:36.644
Because energy is everything you need to find out when you're on your A game and then utilize that so that you can get not only the most things done, but the most important things done.
00:03:36.644 --> 00:03:39.251
Remember, you don't have to do it like everybody else.
00:03:39.251 --> 00:03:41.543
You just need to find what works best for you.
00:03:42.104 --> 00:03:47.893
And I just want to call out one thing here, and that is how much I appreciate you for being willing to even have this conversation.
00:03:47.893 --> 00:04:03.606
I know you're wanting to give, I know you want to make a huge impact in the world, and I know you have a solution to problems that people are currently experiencing right now and you're willing to find the way to tap into your universal primetime so you can make the biggest impact for you and for your family.
00:04:03.606 --> 00:04:05.430
We appreciate you for doing that.
00:04:05.430 --> 00:04:13.704
Always remember it's never about burning yourself out, sacrificing your family time or preventing yourself from getting more sleep.
00:04:13.704 --> 00:04:14.546
It's all about working smarter, not harder.
00:04:14.546 --> 00:04:23.185
Thank you for being willing to lean in and, if you enjoy this type of content, definitely join Teresa and I for our weekend workshops where we take deeper dives into concepts just like this.
00:04:23.185 --> 00:04:26.725
Thank you for what you do out there every single day and keep leading from the front.
